WEIMA Exports TECO's explosion-proof Motors Specifically Designed for the LIB industry.

The development of the electric vehicle industry has significantly driven the progress and prosperity of the lithium battery sector, promoting international expansion. Chinese lithium battery companies are accelerating their overseas ventures. Since 2023, to avoid trade protectionism, several companies, including CATL (Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited) and Honeycomb Energy, have initiated overseas investment plans. They are constructing factories and expanding markets in regions such as Europe and Asia, thereby enhancing the international influence of China's lithium battery industry.

1. Ford collaborating with CATL to establish a battery plant in the USA.

Ford is collaborating with CATL to invest $3.5 billion in the construction of battery factory in Michigan, USA. Ford will own 100% share of the battery plant, including the building and infrastructure, while CATL will provide battery patent technology licensing and assist in the operation of the factory. Throughout the collaboration, CATL will act as the technology licensor, receiving royalties from the technology but will not make direct financial investments.

2.EPC FLSmidth Engineering - Albemarle - Lithium Hydroxide Project in the USA

FLSmidth is responsible for providing engineering, procurement, and construction management services for the Albermarle - Lithium Hydroxide project. Lithium is an essential precursor material for high-performance lithium-ion batteries used in electric vehicles. Once completed, the plant will produce 50,000 tons of lithium hydroxide annually.

3. China AESC Establishes a Battery Plant in South Carolina, USA.

AESC becomes the power battery supplier for the new generation of BMW Group vehicle models. On October 19, BMW Group announced a strategic partnership with Envision Group's subsidiary AESC who will provide cylindrical batteries for BMW's new generation of models starting in 2026.

Meanwhile, AESC will build a battery plant in South Carolina to supply the BMW Group's Spartanburg plant located in the same state. This will be the 13th battery production facility of AESC established worldwide.
